Settler attack in al-Makhrour

We want to thank everyone who has supported Alice and her family during these trying times. Your generosity has been a source of hope and resilience for them.

As of our last update, Alice and Mimi were arrested during a violent ambush by settlers, the Israeli police, and the IDF while planting an olive tree on their land. Thankfully, they were released the following day without charges. However, the police have refused to return their car, even though there is no legal justification for withholding it.

This has created yet another obstacle for Alice and her family. Without the car, they are unable to travel freely, especially in areas where public transportation is unreliable and unsafe. The car was a vital tool for them to maintain their work, attend court hearings, and transport supplies for their land.

We are now raising funds to help them purchase a new car. This unexpected need adds to the mounting financial strain they are already under due to legal fees and ongoing threats to their land. We estimate that a reliable replacement car will cost approximately $10,000.

Your continued support means everything. Whether through donations, sharing this campaign, or simply keeping Alice’s story alive in your networks, you are helping us resist injustice and protect her family’s legacy.

Please consider contributing to help us reach this urgent goal. Together, we can ensure that Alice and her family have the means to continue their brave stand against land theft and violence.

Thank you for standing with us in solidarity.

We are in urgent need of support. Yesterday, while we were planting an olive tree in the land, the settlers, with the help of Israeli police and the IDF, ambushed us. They violently interrupted our tree planting, fully armed. They claimed that we were in a “closed military zone”, which is false. The ambush was violent, leaving one of our friends sick and vomiting. Alice’s hand was injured and bleeding. The settlers also uprooted and broke the tree which we had just planted and stole it away.

The Israeli police arrested Alice and Mimi and have detained them until Saturday evening. This new legal issue has spiked our legal fees yet again, adding another $2200 to cover the costs of the lawyer.
