Legal Battle Update – April 2025

Israeli settlers put Star of David on Palestinian property.
Dear friends and supporters,
We want to share an important update on our ongoing legal struggle to defend our family land in Al-Makhrour.
On November 18, 2024, we filed a lawsuit against the Civil Administration at the Israeli Supreme Court. Shortly after, the settlers were removed from the land, and the area was closed off by the Israeli military. While this was a significant step forward, we are still not allowed to access the land until the legal process is fully resolved.
After three months, the court instructed us to first approach the Civil Administration and demand the relevant documents before returning to court. We submitted a formal request asking them to clarify and provide legal proof of their claim that the land had been purchased by Himanuta.
However, under Jordanian Law No. 40, which is still in effect in the West Bank, Himanuta is not officially registered among the Civil Administration’s recognized companies. This strongly suggests their claims are legally invalid and that forged agreements are being used to justify the theft of our land.
Despite multiple follow-ups over two months, the Civil Administration failed to provide any credible or legal response.
As a result, on April 10, 2025, we filed a second lawsuit, which is now active. We remain hopeful and full of faith that justice will prevail, and we will be able to return to our land.
We are doing everything we can — but legal battles are expensive. We need your continued financial support to keep fighting settler organizations, illegal annexation, and to stand firm against the theft of Palestinian land.
Thank you for standing with us in this critical fight.
With gratitude and hope,
Alice
